Organization Summary: The Special Foundation is a privately funded social impact organization focused on building Africa’s next set of leaders by refining their minds through education. We seek to achieve this by empowering less privileged, gifted African Children through education, mentorship and leadership opportunities.
Vision: We dream of an Africa where more young people have access to an education and the essential tools that provides them with a foundation to be positive change agents to their respective communities, the African continent and the world.
Mission: To improve the quality of leadership in Africa by providing a platform where less privileged and highly talented children can be equipped with an education, mentoring and leadership training to bring about a positive influence to their world.
General Function: As head of partnerships, you will seek out, recruit new, and continually develop existing partnerships that will accelerate the Special Foundation’s growth and provide funds for program execution. Through passion, drive, tenacity, innovation and focus, you will create long lasting relationships with corporations, media groups, foundations and non- governmental organisations that will further propagate the fulfilment of our mission, spread word to the general public about the work we do and enable us maximise our impact.
Characteristics/Essential Duties and Functions:
· Lead strategic thinking on how we can accelerate our growth through Partnerships
· Identify corporations who are strategically well-positioned to accelerate The Special Foundation’s growth and develop strong, long-term partnerships with relevant parties at these companies.
· Collaborate with the ambassadors of the foundation to build and maintain a pipeline of relationships with potential partners, taking responsibility for the relationship throughout all stages.
· Take primary responsibility for the execution and integration of new partnerships.
· Track, report, and optimize the performance of partnerships, including identifying issues as they arise, assessing possible solutions, and executing those solutions.
· Provide thought leadership, strategic insight, and clear communication (written and verbal) to team members on partnership initiatives.
· Manage and execute end-to-end process of sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and executing those partnerships.
· Establishing key performance indicators that will determine the ultimate success of each partnership
· Nurture and grow the existing partnerships to ensure they are fulfilling Relativity and Partner’s commercial, product, and strategic goals.
· Complete grant applications and take charge of relationship and communication between the foundation and the grant making organization throughout the process.
Required Experience: 2 – 5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, strategic sales and account management, or management consulting and previous experience working with an NGO is an advantage.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
· Demonstrated ability to be a well-organized self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and effectively within a team;
· Successful track record of sourcing, executing, and nurturing strategic partnerships technology
· Ability and confidence to have meetings with C-suite executives with little or minimal support.
· Strong analytical, leadership, intellectual curiosity, and partnering skills
· Demonstrated ability to independently and logically frame a problem, provide the analysis required to answer the question, and drive the resolution
· Track record of making and executing decisions
· Ability to plan, multi-task, set work priorities, track partnerships with detail and meet deadlines whilst maintaining confidentiality;
· Fluency in computer applications, including Microsoft office, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
· High regard for quality and accuracy, attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills;
· High level of interpersonal skills
· Ability to communicate effectively through written and oral medium
· Excellent public speaking and listening skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₦600,000.00 - ₦700,000.00 per month
