JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Physiochemical analysis of Water for conformity with production standard and approval once confirmed fit for use.
- Plan, conduct, and monitor product test, and inspect the products to ensure their quality.
- Gather and maintain data for raw materials and production batches ensuring GMP and regulatory compliance
- Physiochemical analysis of finished products and products in process (when applied) for conformity with our production standards and issuance of approval when certified okay. Testing for pH range, Temperature range, Viscosity, Density, Smell, Rheology amongst others.
- Physiochemical Analysis of raw material supplied for conformity with our production standards. Making an equivalent of intended use by preparing lab sample of the product or formula the class of material falls to.
- Quality control check on the mixing of perfumes; ensuring the right materials (Alcohol, Fragrance & Water) are added and in the right quantities as stated on the batch formula. Also ensuring the proper order of mixing is followed through the process and proper dating of produced batches.
- Preparation of NAFDAC samples when applicable. Following appropriate dose of specified materials such as HQ, Preservatives in accordance with what is to be presented.
- Stability Test on new products and existing products already on the trend on a 6weeks window under specified temperature.
- Analysis of Raw Material's sustenance period along with the store officer and giving appropriate feedback to the appropriate offices as it may apply.
- Analysis of Fragrance oil for conformity with the perfume production standard on multiple concentration level when it applies, using ALCOHOL-OIL-WATER order to avert the risk of cloudiness.
- Sample collection & Labelling of all products produced and storing in safe conditions and in clear cut pattern to ensure easy tracing of respective products & batches.
- Laboratory Records: Ensuring appropriate filling and filing of all lab records and it's equivalent in both hard & soft copy format. This includes, Production water test records, Records of Physiochemical test of finished products, Production schedules, Raw material logs, Raw material tests records, Maintenance Report, Production challenges and Sample submission reports.
- Effecting all change or adjustments made to formulas or products on the digital file and disposing off all hard copy of the obsolete file when it applies.
- Following up with the maintenance unit on all reported faulty equipment to ensure swift resolution and updating the appropriate office of progress per time.
- Other duties assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENT
- HND or B.Sc. in Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry or related scientific discipline
- Additional qualification is an added advantage
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Cosmetic/Personal Care manufacturing industry (Experience with raw material restrictions and concerns)
- Leadership skills, to manage cross-functional projects and teams.
- Math skills – data reporting, measuring, calibrating, and calculating specifications are just some of the many skills you should possess.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
