We are seeking to engage a Senior R&D Chemist who will be responsible for conducting experiments, analyzing data, quality control testing, formulating coatings, and developing new products.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Formulation & Development:
- Design and optimize protective paint formulations for corrosion resistance, chemical durability, and environmental compliance.
- Design and develop coatings, including epoxies, polyurethanes, and zinc-rich primers for marine and industrial use.
- Optimize formulations for corrosion resistance, UV stability, abrasion resistance, and fire retardancy.
- Evaluate raw materials and integrate new technologies to enhance performance and sustainability.
Testing & Analysis:
- Conduct laboratory and field testing for adhesion, salt spray, immersion, and fire resistance (ASTM E84, ISO 12944, etc.).
- Use analytical tools (FTIR, TGA, DSC, SEM) to characterize coating properties.
- Maintain detailed records of formulations, test results, and project milestones.
Regulatory & Compliance:
- Ensure products meet VOC, HAPs, REACH, and other environmental standards.
- Prepare safety data sheets (SDS), technical data sheets (TDS), and regulatory documentation.
Collaboration & Support:
- Work with production teams to scale up lab formulations to commercial batches and optimize processes.
- Participate in customer trials, technical presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Provide technical support to sales, marketing, and customers. Mentor junior chemists and contribute to knowledge sharing across teams.
