Job core Responsibilities:
- Define and implement commercial strategy for both imports and exports
- Prospect, negotiate, and close contracts across sea, air, bulk/project cargo, warehousing, and transport.
- Drive sector penetration in telecom, FMCG, agro, minerals, and infrastructure.
- Build and leverage global partnerships , and network for revenue growth.
- Lead and develop the BD team to deliver consistent results. Deploy CRM to facilitate growth, and optimize performance
- Ensure disciplined pipeline management, accurate forecasting, and strong client retention.
Summary: To lead KHL's entire commercial growth agenda, Imports and exports across all modes(sea FCL/LCL, air, bulk/project cargo, warehousing, domestic transport). The head owns revenue strategy, sector penetration, global partnerships, and ensure profitable expansions in both inbound and outbound trade.
Job Qualification/competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business-Administration, Marketing, or Transport Management.
- Relevant Experience: MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree preferred.
- 8+ years’ senior-level experience in business development within shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding.
- Proven track record of closing high-value deals and driving revenue growth.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercial Execution, Network Leverage & Governance.
- Deep knowledge of global trade & logistics (shipping, customs, airfreight, warehousing).
- Customer-Centricity, Written and Verbal CommunicationC-suite negotiation & influence across sectors.
- Ability to balance import/export priorities with GP discipline.
- Proven leadership in building scalable BD system.
