Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Define and implement a commercial strategy for both imports and exports.
- Prospect, negotiate, and close contracts across sea, air, bulk/project cargo, warehousing, and transport.
- Drive sector penetration in telecoms, FMCG, agro, minerals, and infrastructure.
- Build and leverage global partnerships and networks for revenue growth.
- Lead and develop the BD team to deliver consistent results. Ensure disciplined pipeline management, accurate forecasting, and strong client retention.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business administration, marketing, or transport management.
- An MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree is preferred.
- 8+ years’ senior-level experience in business development within shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding.
- Proven track record of closing high-value deals and driving revenue growth. Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
