Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests with a warm, professional, and friendly demeanor.
- Handle check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by responding promptly to inquiries, concerns, and requests.
- Manage online, phone, walk-in, and corporate room bookings using the hotel’s property management system (PMS).
- Update guest records, room availability, and payment information.
- Maintain accurate logs of daily front desk activities.
- Answer incoming calls, respond to emails, and handle guest correspondence.
- Liaise with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure room readiness and issue resolution.
- Communicate special guest needs (VIPs, birthdays, room preferences) to relevant departments.
- Process payments (cash, card, POS) and maintain accurate billing records.
- Issue invoices, receipts, and reports at shift end.
- Maintain petty cash and front desk supplies inventory.
- Follow hotel policies for guest identification and data confidentiality.
- Report security incidents or suspicious activity to management. Ensure the front desk area complies with hygiene, safety, and COVID-19 protocols.
Requirements:
- SSCE / OND (Degree in Hospitality or related field is a plus)
- 1–3 years in a similar customer-facing role (hotel or hospitality experience preferred)
- Proficiency in MS Office, email systems, and PMS software (e.g., Opera, Cloudbeds, Protel)
- Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excellent time management and multitasking
- Professional appearance and grooming
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to handle complaints and remain calm under pressure
