Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Development Officer located in Port Harcourt. The Business Development Officer will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, analyzing financial data, maintaining effective communication, and ensuring top-notch customer service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research and networking
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to grow client base and increase profitability
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders
  • Prepare and deliver compelling business proposals and presentations
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client needs are met effectively
  • Track and report on business development activities and performance metrics
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote the company
  • Provide insights into market trends and competitor activities
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets
  • Support the recruitment and mentoring of junior business development staff


Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business development, sales, or a similar role
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving growth
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Willingness to travel locally or regionally as needed
