About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our products through effective testing processes. This role requires both manual and automated testing expertise, as well as strong problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts (manual and automated).
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify testing requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, system, and performance testing.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar).
- Ensure software quality standards and best practices are adhered to during the development lifecycle.
- Perform root cause analysis of defects and recommend process improvements.
- Mentor junior QA team members and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.
- Participate in design and code reviews to provide QA perspective.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4–5 years of professional experience as a QA Engineer or Software Tester.
- Proficiency in manual testing and automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies (Agile, Scrum, or Kanban).
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Knowledge of programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, or JavaScript) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- ISTQB or equivalent certification is an added advantage.
