About the Role
We are looking for a Junior QA Engineer to support our quality assurance processes. This role is ideal for someone with basic testing experience who is eager to grow their skills in both manual and automated testing. You will work closely with the QA team and developers to ensure that our products meet high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform manual testing on new and existing features.
- Identify, document, and report bugs or issues using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
- Collaborate with developers and senior QA engineers to resolve defects.
- Participate in functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Provide feedback on usability, user experience, and functionality.
- Support the team in test automation initiatives as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in software testing or QA.
- Basic understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
- Familiarity with bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
- Basic knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
- Basic knowledge of SQL for database testing.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- ISTQB Foundation certification (optional but desirable).
