Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of our forked codebase, which is built on the Polkadot SDK (Substrate).
• Lead the design, implementation, and testing of core protocol features, including our novel consensus mechanism and decoupled execution environment.
• Write clean, high-performance, and secure Rust code that will serve as the foundation of the Stellarys network.
• Collaborate with a small, world-class team to solve complex challenges in distributed systems, cryptography, and blockchain architecture.
Contribute to the technical roadmap and help shape the future of our protocol.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with expert-level proficiency in Rust .
• Deep experience with blockchain protocols and distributed systems. You have a strong grasp of consensus algorithms, peer-to-peer networking, and cryptography.
• A proven track record of building and shipping production-grade software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Strong communication skills in English.

Highly Desirable (But Not Required):

• Direct experience building with the Polkadot SDK (Substrate) framework.
• Familiarity with the architecture of decentralized storage networks (e.g., Arweave, Filecoin) or high-throughput blockchains (e.g., Kaspa).
Experience contributing to major open-source projects.
