Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- The Medical Officer will provide high-quality medical care to women and children in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
- You will conduct regular ward rounds, perform clinical assessments, and monitor patient progress.
- You will assist in emergency care, including obstetric and pediatric emergencies, and collaborate with consultants, nurses, and other clinical staff in delivering integrated care.
- You will ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of medical records, promote patient safety and confidentiality, and comply with hospital policies. The role also involves participation in on-call duty rosters, case reviews, and departmental meetings, as well as supporting ongoing clinical training and contributing to clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Applicants must possess a medical degree (MBBS) from a recognized institution and hold a valid MDCN license to practice in Nigeria.
- A minimum of 3 years’ post-NYSC clinical experience, preferably in women and children’s care, is required.
- Strong clinical judgment, good communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team are essential. Candidates should also demonstrate a willingness to learn, adapt, and grow professionally.
