Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide life-saving interventions.
- Perform minor surgical procedures and assist in major surgeries as needed.
- Manage critical care patients in collaboration with relevant specialists.
- Provide quality medical care to patients under the supervision of the HOD/Branch Clinical Director.
- Conduct day-to-day review of patients.
- Analyse records, reports, test results, or examination information to diagnose the medical condition of the patient.
- Ensure comprehensive, accurate, and concise medical records are collected and maintained for patients with an appropriate signed and dated legible entry in the patient’s medical record on every attendance upon a patient.
- Contribute to quality patient care by participating in case planning, which includes appropriate pre-admission planning, in-hospital care, and discharge planning.
- Arrange investigations, medical treatment, and discharge as directed by the Registrar and/or Consultant to whom assigned.
- Commission healthcare by liaising with medical professionals in the community and hospitals.
- Provide preventative medical programmes for individual patients.
- Support the team in meeting targets set by the government for specific treatments, such as child immunisations.
- Work alongside nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior medical staff, interns, and healthcare workers.
- Refer patients to specialists or higher-level care when necessary.
- Stay updated with advancements in medical research, treatments, and technologies.
- Participate in training sessions, workshops, and continuing medical education (CME) programs.
- Contribute to research, audits, and public health initiatives where applicable. Be “on-call” or participating in shift rosters is a requirement of the position.

Certification & Qualification:
- MBBS Certificate

Work Conditions:
- Full-time role with shifts as required, including weekends and holidays.
- Exposure to infectious diseases requires strict adherence to safety protocols.
- May involve travel or fieldwork in remote or underserved areas, depending on the employer
