Job Role: Local Advertising Sales Director
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Reports To: Regional Sales Head / Managing Director
Salary: Open To Negotiation
Responsibilities:
. Develop and implement strong sales strategies to drive advertising revenue in Nigeria, targeting sectors such as FMCG, telecom, electronics, finance, and government.
. Achieve and exceed quarterly/annual revenue targets through new business acquisition and account growth.
. Build and maintain partnerships with top advertisers, agencies, and brands.
. Propose tailored multimedia advertising solutions (TV, digital, radio, OTT) to meet client objectives.
. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights for growth opportunities.
. Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing sales team, setting KPIs and fostering a results-driven culture.
. Collaborate with internal teams to align sales strategies with audience engagement.
. Negotiate high-value contracts and ensure policy compliance.
. Represent the company at industry events and enhance brand visibility.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years in advertising sales, with 3+ years in leadership within Nigeria’s media/publishing/digital space (FTA, Pay TV, advertising agencies).
Proven track record of meeting/exceeding million-dollar revenue targets.
Deep knowledge of Nigeria’s advertising ecosystem, media buying, and regulations.
Expertise in both digital and traditional advertising.
Strong relationships with top advertisers, agencies, and brands in Nigeria.
Ability to lead and scale sales operations, including remote teams.
Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Media, Marketing, Sales, or related field.
Fluency in English; knowledge of Hausa or Yoruba is an advantage
