Job Summary
The Director of Sales will oversee the development and execution of strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets. This leadership role requires a proven ability to build, mentor, and manage high-performing teams, as well as a deep understanding of B2B sales in the media, advertising, or marketing industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and grow the sales department to meet and exceed company targets
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies that align with business objectives
- Identify new market opportunities and design entry strategies
- Cultivate relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and decision-makers
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure
- Track and analyze sales metrics to inform decision-making and reporting
- Collaborate with marketing and operations to ensure client satisfaction and service alignment
- Represent the agency at high-level meetings, pitches, and industry events
- Recruit, train, and evaluate sales personnel for optimal performance
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA is an added advantage)
- Minimum of 5–7 years proven experience in a senior sales leadership role, preferably in advertising, media, or marketing
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding revenue goals
- Strong leadership, people management, and team-building skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
- Deep understanding of the Abuja and Nigerian market landscape
- Proficient in CRM platforms, sales analytics, and strategic planning
- Strong business acumen and client relationship management skills
