Key Responsibilities
As Advertising Sales Director, you will:
Develop and execute advertising sales strategies to maximize revenue across TV channels, live programming, and digital platforms.
Lead and manage the sales team to exceed targets and deliver high-impact advertising solutions.
Build strong relationships with advertising agencies, media planners, and brand marketers.
Create and package advertising and sponsorship offerings tailored to clients’ needs, including branded content and integrated campaigns.
Collaborate with programming and production teams to align commercial opportunities with on-air content and viewer demographics.
Analyze market data and audience insights to inform pricing, packaging, and sales decisions.
Present compelling proposals and close deals that drive consistent business growth.
Track team performance and campaign outcomes, using metrics to guide continuous improvement.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must have:
7–10 years of experience in advertising, media sales, or communications, with at least 5years in a senior leadership position within the TV or broadcast media industry.
A strong network of clients and agencies within the advertising/media ecosystem, especially in Lagos.
A proven track record of leading successful sales teams and campaigns—be ready to share team performance results or case studies.
A structured approach to product development, sales pipeline management, and client portfolio growth.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
In-depth knowledge of TV media buying, ratings, sponsorship models, and integrated advertising.
