Responsibilities:

• Negotiate with prospective users of music with a view to getting them take a license for the use of musical works and sound recordings of our members
• Build up a comprehensive and robust database of all users across Nigeria with users' company names, telephone numbers, email addresses, website addresses, & any other key information.
• Liaise and network with a range of stakeholders, e.g. users, copyright owners, regulators, etc. Liaise with clients and business contacts, developing strong business relationships;
• Carry out recordings of use of music by difference users for purpose of licensing, litigation, etc.
• Enlighten/Educate users of musical works and sound recordings on copyright matters
• Communicate with target audiences and manage client relationships;
• Work with the Communications & New Media team to manage the production of licensing materials, including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters and e-newsletters, and DVDs;
• Work with the Communications & New Media team to arrange for the effective distribution of licensing materials;
• Work with the DataTech team to Maintain and update customer databases.
• Work with the Communications & New Media teams to organise licensing events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions;
• Conduct market research such as customer questionnaires and focus groups;
• Follow-up and update management on court matters and attending court hearings for and on behalf of the society;
• Conduct legal compliance checks to ensure legal documentations are in compliance with statutory requirements;
• Contribute to and develop licensing plans and strategies;
• Work with the Communications & New Media team to evaluate licensing campaigns;
• Monitor and report to the acting head of licensing the activities of the royalty collection agents
Perform any other duties that may be assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Minimum of degree
• Minimum of 2 years experience
