As we prepare to launch, we’re looking for a detail-driven Inventory & Procurement Officer to oversee purchasing, stock control, and supplier management, ensuring smooth operations and cost efficiency across all departments.
What You’ll Do
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes, from vendor sourcing to purchase orders.
- Maintain accurate stock records and track daily, weekly, and monthly inventory usage.
- Develop and enforce stock control systems to prevent wastage, pilferage, and shortages.
- Coordinate with kitchen, bar, and operations teams to forecast supply needs.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and generate detailed usage and variance reports.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with suppliers to ensure value for money.
- Ensure all goods purchased meet Whispers’ quality and safety standards.
- Implement FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and other best practices in stock management.
Who We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years’ proven experience in inventory management or procurement, preferably in hospitality or retail.
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and cost control skills.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems, POS, and Microsoft Excel.
- High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage deadlines.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to generate actionable reports.
- Degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or a related field (CIPS certification is a plus).
- Must be based in Abuja.
