International Freight Specialist – On-site

Who You Are:

We are seeking an international Freight specialist. An ideal candidate will ensure to anticipate customer needs in terms of international freight and ensure that each transaction is properly quoted, documented and executed and work closely with relevant stakeholders at Kwik. Activities within this role aim to provide account management and operational support for shipments from Kwik customers.

Kwik’s international freight section is responsible to handle the relationship with key accounts and service providers in line with customer requirements. You will focus on activities supporting the business growth surrounded by a team of professionals driving our services towards innovations, customer needs, 3PL performance, and process analytics.

What You'll Do:

Activities are grouped and not limited to:

• Tracking and troubleshooting of ongoing shipments in cooperation with warehouses, freight forwarders, integrators, and customs brokers to secure timely communication and on-time delivery.

• Support the daily management of the freight forwarders and integrators as escalation point of contact for any shipping challenges.

• Process and respond to inquiries via a ticketing tool and emails throughout the day addressing and resolving any challenges incurred by our business partners to keep business continuity flowing.

• Drive KPI’s, improve processes, and seek continuous improvements in regular activities as well as implement special projects.

• Ensure adherence to standard shipping processes and established ways of working with correct usage of the transportation management system (TMS) for both internal and external users.

• Ensure data completeness and accuracy in Kwik’s internal and external systems by interacting with 3PLs and transportation partners.
  

What You'll Bring:

• High School Diploma with minimum 5 years of relevant work experience or Bachelor in logistics, supply chain management, operational management and 3-5 years of relevant work experience

• Experience in a challenging, fast paced environment coordinating with different stakeholders and layers

• Work experience in cross-functional teams

• Intermediate competencies in MS Excel and PowerPoint

• Knowledge of logistics management systems (TMS), their set-up and application

• Knowledge of customs import, and export regulations is a plus.
