Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
- Provide legal advice to management on corporate, commercial, regulatory, and compliance matters.
- Advise on employment, intellectual property, real estate, litigation, and data protection issues.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
- Manage relationships with external legal firms and consultants.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings, when required.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
- Develop and implement internal policies, procedures, and compliance programs.
- Monitor legal trends and updates relevant to the company’s industry. Assist in the resolution of disputes and claims.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); BL qualification from Nigerian Law School. Licensed to practice law in Nigeria.
- Minimum of (1–3) years’ post-call experience, preferably in a corporate or legal firm setting.
- Strong knowledge of corporate and commercial law.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
