Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head of Sales and Business Development to lead and grow our healthcare business portfolio. This role will be responsible for developing sales strategies, identifying new business opportunities, forming strategic partnerships, and leading a high-performing sales team to achieve revenue growth and market expansion in the healthcare sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve business goals in line with organizational vision.
- Oversee daily operations of the sales and business development team across regions or product/service lines.
- Identify and evaluate new revenue opportunities, channels, and partnerships.
- Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, clinics, HMOs, distributors, pharmacies, government agencies, and healthcare providers.
- Identify emerging trends and new healthcare market segments to expand service/product offerings.
- Drive B2B and B2C growth through targeted campaigns and negotiations with key clients and stakeholders.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the sales and BD team to improve performance, skills, and engagement.
- Set sales targets, monitor performance, and implement performance improvement initiatives.
- Forge strategic partnerships with health institutions, insurance companies, NGOs, and public health organizations.
- Represent the company at healthcare conferences, trade shows, and industry forums.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Healthcare Management, or related field (MBA or MSc is a plus).
- Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive sales/business development experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of healthcare sales cycles, regulations, and B2B partnerships.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and growing revenue.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with hospitals, diagnostics labs, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or digital health platforms.
- Established network of healthcare industry stakeholders and clients.
