Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified English Language Teacher to deliver engaging literacy instruction, promote critical thinking, and build foundational language skills in line with the British and Nigerian curricula.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver daily English language instruction using age-appropriate methods.
- Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
- Use phonics-based and literacy-rich approaches to early reading development.
- Plan and deliver lessons aligned with British (Cambridge Primary) and Nigerian curricula.
- Incorporate technology and 21st-century learning techniques.
- Create and manage a literacy-rich environment.
- Prepare students for internal assessments and progress evaluations.
- Maintain detailed records of pupil progress and communicate regularly with parents.
Requirements:
- B.Ed./B.A. in English or related field with PGDE.
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in a reputable school.
- Experience with British Curriculum (Cambridge Primary) is essential.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- Familiarity with assessment tools and literacy development benchmarks.
