Job Position: Accountant
Reports to: Chief Responsibility Officer

JOB DESCRIPTION
A company Accountant plays a crucial role in driving the financial and strategic success of the organization. This multifaceted approach ensures that the financial planning, strategic goals and performance management are seamlessly integrated to support sustainable growth and operational excellence.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
FINANCE & STRATEGY
1. Manage the preparation of the company’s budget.
2. Liase with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained. 3. Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken. 4. Prepare and maintain important financial analyses, statements and reports and generate weekly and monthly management report.
ACCOUNTS
1. Ensures that all bank and cash balances are regularly updated and reconciled
2. Management of the petty cash process including disbursement and reimbursement
3. Maintain general ledger of accounts by ensuring posting of transactions and reconciling accounts receivable detail and control accounts; analyzing and accounts payable ledgers; preparing fixed asset depreciation and accruals.
4. Inventory Management
5. Input and ensure that database information is updated and accurate.
PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
1. Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve performance measurement and reporting processes.
2. Implement best practices in performance management and budgeting to enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness
3. Assist in the development of budgets that support strategic initiatives and performance targets.
4. Monitor budget performance and recommend adjustments to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of University degree or equivalent in relevant course of study
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in a similar role in a multi-site, structured environment.
- Relevant professional certifications.
