Job Title: Director of Construction (Construction Experience Required)
Salary: ₦3,000,000 Monthly

Role Summary
The Director of Construction will be responsible for translating the Group’s strategic vision into operational excellence across all project sites. This role entails overseeing multiple departments including project execution, procurement, finance, HR, and internal systems to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality project delivery. The ideal candidate must possess deep experience in the Nigerian construction or engineering sector and a strong record of strategic execution, leadership, and performance management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive leadership across all civil engineering and infrastructure projects, ensuring delivery within budget, scope, timeline, and quality standards.
- Translate strategic objectives into detailed execution plans, project timelines, and measurable KPIs.
- Oversee procurement, HR, finance, and operational systems, driving efficiency, accountability, and regulatory compliance.
- Improve internal systems, SOPs, and governance frameworks to support business scalability and operational transparency.
- Support the GMD and Board with capital projects, expansion plans, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
- Develop, manage, and mentor a high-performing project management and operations team.
- Track and report performance of all business units using data analytics and performance dashboards.
- Liaise with government agencies, clients, contractors, and stakeholders to foster strong external relationships.
- Champion change initiatives that modernize processes and boost organizational competitiveness. Represent the company at high-level industry events, stakeholder meetings, and key negotiations.

Person Specification
- Experience: Minimum 15 years in senior leadership roles, with at least 5 years in executive or director-level roles within the construction, engineering, or infrastructure space.
- Track Record: Proven success in managing complex, large-scale construction projects and delivering operational transformation.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of construction project delivery, financial controls, procurement, compliance, and Nigerian regulatory frameworks.
- Leadership: Excellent people management skills, with a focus on KPI delivery, team development, and executive accountability.
- Strategic Thinking: Able to convert high-level goals into actionable business plans, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills; adept at building and sustaining internal and external relationships.
- Education: BSc in Civil Engineering is mandatory; MBA or Master’s Degree is highly desirable. COREN certification is required.
- Mindset: Entrepreneurial, results-oriented, systems-driven, and focused on sustainable operational excellence.
