Tiko inspires futures where girls and young women take charge of their sexual and reproductive choices, with the freedom to shape their lives. Founded in 2014, Tiko is an African nonprofit organization that enhances the potential and fosters the resilience of adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) in Sub-Saharan Africa by addressing the critical “Triple Threat”: early pregnancy, HIV, and sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV). Tiko has developed its own unique girl-centric technology platform to unite an ecosystem of existing, established partners to provide an environment enabling girls to choose when, where and how they meet their health and wellbeing needs. Leveraging this technology-enabled, community-driven approach, Tiko collaborates with local and national health systems to drive sustainable, transformative change. The job
We’re looking for a forward-thinking, non-traditional impact leader who can blend academic rigor with practical, community-level insights for diverse audiences. You’re curious, collaborative, and passionate about real-time, data-driven performance management that improves lives. As Chief Impact Officer, you will guide Tiko’s impact agenda, ensuring a robust measurement framework, high-quality evidence, and actionable insights that strengthen programmes and partnerships. You will foster a culture of data use across the organization, inspiring others to turn insights into action and influence policy in Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health (ASRH).
In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
- Leading the refinement and delivery of Tiko’s measurement, research, and learning framework, aligned with our Theory of Change and impact goals.
- Guiding evidence generation on programme performance, service integration, and cost-effectiveness, ensuring insights inform design and delivery.
- Overseeing data innovation, predictive analytics, and quality assurance across multi-country programmes.
- Building collaborative relationships with governments, funders, and sector stakeholders to position ASRH as a priority investment.
- Leading Tiko’s research agenda, including evaluations, Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs), and peer-reviewed publications.
- Representing Tiko in global health forums, technical working groups, and strategic partnerships. Mentoring and supporting the Impact Team, managing the departmental budget, and promoting cross-country learning.
About you

Requirements
- PhD in Public Health, Epidemiology, Data Science, Statistics, Medical Sociology, Health Economics, or related field.
- 7+ years’ senior-level experience in data systems, research, and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) in Sub-Saharan Africa.
- 5+ years’ experience engaging public (government) and private sectors, including direct collaboration with Ministries of Health.
- Expertise in ASRH measurement (FP, HIV, SGBV) and cost-effectiveness analysis.
- Experience leading digital data systems, predictive analytics, AI/ML, and automated insights for programme optimization.
- Demonstrated experience in publishing peer-reviewed research and managing multi-country evaluations.
- Strong understanding of data ethics, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance. Skilled at managing multicultural teams and building partnerships across countries.
The rewards
At Tiko we believe in being open, also when it comes to salaries. The gross monthly salary bracket for this position is R145,932 - R218,899 in South Africa, €8,922 - €13,383 in Ethiopia, ₦15,196,671 - ₦22,795,006 in Nigeria and UGX35,986,448 - UGX53,979,672 in Uganda, plus benefits. We will offer you a salary in this bracket depending on your level of experience and how it relates to your future colleagues.
