Medife Limited, a real estate and consulting company, is recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Position: Cashier
Job Location: Lagos
Key Responsibilities
- Transaction Management: Process cash, credit card, and other forms of payment from customers.
- Accuracy: Provide correct change and issue receipts, refunds, or credits.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide a positive shopping experience.
- Point of Sale (POS) Operation: Scan goods and ensure the correct price is charged.
- Till Management: Maintain a clean and organized checkout area and a balanced cash drawer by counting and reconciling cash at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Stock & Presentation: Assist with stocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring the sales floor is tidy.
- Problem-Solving: Resolve customer complaints in a professional manner or escalate issues to a manager when necessary.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail sales position is preferred.
- Strong mathematical skills and the ability to handle money accurately.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- A friendly and approachable personality.
- The ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
