Job Description
The Business Development Representative will be responsible for driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and supporting the company’s strategic objectives. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in sales, client engagement, and market research, preferably in the energy or professional services sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in line with the company’s strategic goals.
- Manage and grow relationships with existing clients, ensuring repeat business and client satisfaction.
- Develop and deliver high-quality proposals, tenders, and presentations to prospective clients.
- Conduct thorough market research, competitor analysis, and industry intelligence reporting.
- Support the development of pricing strategies, business models, and partnership opportunities.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking activities.
- Collaborate with technical, procurement, and project teams to ensure alignment on proposals and service delivery.
- Track and maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and client interactions in the CRM system.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and market insights.
- Contribute innovative ideas to improve business growth and brand visibility.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 3–5 years’ proven experience in business development, preferably in the energy, oil & gas, or professional services sector.
- Strong knowledge of sales principles, client management, and contract negotiation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel as required for business opportunities.
