Position Overview: The Business Development Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities, maintaining strong relationships with clients, and ensuring the agency's services are effectively marketed and utilized. The role demands a proactive and creative individual with excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of the advertising and film production industry.
Key Responsibilities: Client Acquisition and Retention
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with potential clients in the advertising, media, and entertainment sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and referrals.
- Develop customized proposals and pitch presentations tailored to clients' needs.
Market Research and Strategy
- Conduct market research to identify trends, client needs, and competitors' activities in the advert and film production industry.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to design strategies that highlight the agency's unique selling points (USPs).
- Stay updated on industry advancements and incorporate insights into business strategies.
Networking and Relationship Management
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking sessions to expand professional networks.
- Establish partnerships with brands, advertising agencies, production companies, and influencers.
Revenue Growth and Sales
- Meet and exceed revenue targets by generating leads and converting them into business opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts, budgets, and timelines with clients to ensure mutual satisfaction.
- Upsell and cross-sell the agency's services, such as pre-production, post-production, and creative direction.
Collaboration with Internal Teams
- Work closely with the creative and production teams to align client needs with agency capabilities.
- Act as a liaison between the client and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics for senior management.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, proposals, and contracts.
Key Skills and Qualifications: Education
- A degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication, or a related field.
Experience
- 3 minimum years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the advertising, film production, or media industry.
Skills
- Strong understanding of the advertising and film production process, including budgeting and timelines.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to generate leads and close deals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, creative environment.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
