Who we are
We are a fast-growing company engaged in local and international trade of agricultural products, fleet management and consultancy, and parts and equipment sales. Our growing operations involve numerous daily financial transactions across multiple locations, and accuracy in financial records is critical to our growth and profitability.
We are seeking an exceptionally detail-oriented Accounts Officer who will be responsible for capturing, classifying, and reconciling every single financial transaction of the company with zero tolerance for errors. If you cannot thrive in a high-volume, high-responsibility accounting environment, this role is not for you.
Key Responsibilities
The desired candidate will;
- Record all daily financial transactions (sales, purchases, expenses, receivables, payables, transfers, fuel usage, repairs, etc.) into the accounting system on the same day they occur.
- Maintain accurate and organized ledgers for all accounts, ensuring no missing or misclassified entries.
- Reconcile bank statements, customer accounts, supplier accounts, and petty cash monthly — with full supporting documentation.
- Track and follow up on outstanding receivables to ensure timely collection.
- Process supplier invoices and prepare payment schedules in line with company policy.
- Prepare periodic transaction summaries and trial balances for management review.
- Assist in preparing tax returns, including VAT, withholding tax, and PAYE compliance.
- Maintain an audit-ready documentation system for every financial transaction. Collaborate with the operations teams to ensure accurate cost projection and allocation.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of OND/HND/B.Sc. in Accounting or Finance,
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in bookkeeping or accounting in a fast-paced business.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho Books, or similar).
- Strong reconciliation skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle high transaction volumes without errors.
- Knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and statutory compliance. High integrity and strong sense of accountability.
