Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a strategic and results-driven Team Lead – Financial Advisory to head its advisory team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in providing high-level financial counsel to clients, managing complex advisory mandates, and overseeing a team of financial analysts and investment bankers.
Key Responsibilities:
-Develop and implement strategic plans to grow the advisory business aligned with Nigerian and global market trends
-Build and maintain strong local and international client relationships, offering tailored financial advisory solutions
-Lead and mentor the advisory team to foster a high-performance, client-oriented culture
-Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships and market expansion initiatives
-Oversee and review financial modelling, valuation, and transaction analysis
-Advise clients on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital raising, investments, and other financial strategies
-Ensure strict compliance with regulatory guidelines and establish robust risk management practices
-Collaborate with legal, compliance, operations, and external stakeholders for seamless execution of transactions
-Prepare and deliver executive reports and presentations with market intelligence and performance insights
Key Requirements:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
-MBA/MSc or Professional Certifications (e.g., CFA, ACA, ACCA) preferred
-Minimum of 5–7 years experience in financial advisory or investment -banking
-Demonstrated track record in business development and client acquisition
-Strong expertise in financial modelling, valuation, and investment analysis
-Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
-Knowledge or experience in Islamic finance is an added advantage
