Job Description/Requirements
- Develops and implements strategies for business development for the SME Team
- Pitch insurance products to SME Market
- Scope the market and carry out detailed analysis of the sector and region managed with a view to growing the SME market share.
- Sets appropriate targets for the Team in line with overall corporate objectives. Track the targets on a monthly basis.
- Supervise and drive the activities of Financial Advisors within the Unit.
- Develop and implement strategies towards ensuring the optimization of relationship with our partners.
- Drives the relationship management activities within the team including the maintenance of the required level of relationship with Brokers.
- Grow the volume of transactions from the brokers managed by the team
- Establish a framework for the creation of value added services to clients within the SME ecosystem.
- Create a system that will ensure efficient working relationship with other sales team in other to meet the Company’s target for the team as well as the mid market / SME portfolio.
- Work with the Training team in the training and development of the Team’s personnel.
- Provides coaching and mentoring to members of the team.
- Drives the preparation, implementation and achievement of the team’s budget and all other agreed activities towards the achievement of the company’s corporate objectives.
- Ensure that all team’s functions are executed in line with the overall company's standards.
- Coordinate the review, updating and monitoring of relevant team dash boards, providing the company with up to date analysis of distribution performance as well as recommendation to improve sales and profitability
- Ensures that adequate reinsurance arrangement is effected for all risks written by the Team.
- Ensures correct assessment of risks proposed for insurance as well as giving equitable terms.
- Ensure regular interactions with the Claims team in other to ensure the continuous refining of our pricing, terms and conditions. As well as the regular update of outstanding claims reserves
- Supervise the accurate gathering of data and customer documentation, ensuring filing systems are up to date at all times
- Gives risk improvement advice and solution to clients where necessary.
- Supervise the development of new product and repackage existing products specific to SME market development
