Job Summary:
The Training Manager is responsible for identifying training needs, developing learning programs, and ensuring that employees across the organization acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to perform effectively. The role involves designing, coordinating, and evaluating training initiatives aligned with the company’s goals and growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess training needs through job analysis, performance appraisals, and regular consultation with managers.
- Develop and implement effective training programs (e.g. onboarding, technical, leadership, soft skills).
- Organize in-house training sessions, workshops, and external courses.
- Select and manage training vendors and consultants where needed.
- Design training materials, manuals, and e-learning resources.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
- Manage training budgets and maintain records of training activities.
- Support career development and succession planning efforts within the organization.
- Ensure training compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Report training progress and outcomes to management and suggest areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or related field.
- 7–10 years of experience in training, learning & development, or HR.
- Strong knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital training tools.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Ability to assess training ROI and align programs with business goals.
Preferred Skills:
- Professional certifications (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, ATD, LPI).
- Experience in a fast-paced corporate or customer-facing environment.
- Ability to coach and mentor staff at various levels.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₦150,000.00 - ₦200,000.00 per month
