Job Summary
The Site Foreman will be responsible for supervising labor teams, coordinating daily work activities, and ensuring that all construction tasks are carried out in compliance with technical specifications and safety standards. The role requires expertise in managing concrete and asphalt works for highways, resource allocation, and equipment usage to ensure project efficiency and quality. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, effective communication, and the ability to act as the key liaison between site workers, supervisors, and project management to deliver timely and compliant highway infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of labor teams on site.
- Ensure adherence to construction specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Monitor and manage the use of equipment, materials, and resources efficiently.
- Schedule workflow and allocate resources to meet project timelines.
- Conduct daily site inspections to ensure productivity and compliance.
- Act as the link between site workers, supervisors, and project management.
- Oversee concrete and asphalt works, ensuring technical compliance.
- Identify and resolve site-related challenges promptly.
- Prepare and maintain daily site reports, progress updates, and resource usage records.
- Train, mentor, and guide junior site staff and workers to improve efficiency and safety.
- Support project managers in achieving smooth operations and timely project delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Professional certification in construction/site management is an advantage.
- 8–10 years of relevant experience, preferably in highway construction and infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of concrete and asphalt works.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in construction management tools and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to manage resources, equipment, and workforce efficiently.
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
- Proven track record of delivering projects within scope, budget, and timelines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₦250,000.00 - ₦350,000.00 per month
