Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for Site Engineer/Manager located in Abuja. The Site Engineer/Manager will oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring compliance with standards .



Responsibilities

• BlueprintInterpretation: Analyze and interpret construction drawings, ensuring proper implementation of designs and specifications.
• Task Allocation: Allocate work to laborers based on project needs, ensuring efficient use of resources and meeting project deadlines.
• Material Management: Prepare detailed schedules for material use and availability, ensuring the timely procurement of necessary resources.
• Site Supervision: Monitor all aspects of the construction site, ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect structural components such as slabs, beams, and columns before concreting, ensuring compliance with design specifications.
• Process Supervision: Oversee the curing process and ensure it meets industry standards.
• Team Leadership: Direct construction teams and subcontractors, setting specific goals and expectations, and reporting progress regularly.
• Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all construction activities comply with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and budget constraints.
• Operational Improvements: Recommend changes to construction operations to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Reporting: Organize thoughts, actions, challenges and recommendation in report.

Qualifications

• On-site management and supervision skills
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members
• Experience in quality control and implementation
• Expertise in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field
• Professional certifications and affiliations in engineering are a plus
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
