Commission-Based Sales Setter (Cold Calling Focused)
Location: Remote – Based in Lagos | Working Hours: 9 AM – 5 PM WAT
Compensation: Commission only – 10% commission on each closed and paid deal.
Important:
This is a commission-only role. There is no base salary. You will earn 10% commission on the agreed contract of every lead that converts and makes payment. Consistent performance leads to higher earning potential, but your income is fully dependent on the results you deliver.

Geek Up My Site (GUMS) is a leading web design agency in Nigeria. We specialize in website design, logo/graphic design, and SEO solutions for businesses across Nigeria, the UK, US, Canada, Europe, and Australia. As we scale our global client base, we’re looking for a sharp, proactive Sales Setter whose core strength is in cold calling and turning conversations into appointments for our closers.
Role Summary
We are hiring a Sales Representative (Sales Setter) whose main responsibility is booking appointments through cold calls. Other outreach methods (emails, social media, etc.) can be used to support this, but cold calling is a non-negotiable part of this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Cold Calling: Daily cold calls to potential clients to introduce GUMS services and book discovery calls. This is your primary focus.
- Lead Sourcing: Identify and source at least 20 new leads per day through research and prospecting.
- Outreach: Send personalized outreach emails with loom videos to at least 15 qualified leads daily, tailoring each message to the recipient’s business needs and how our services can benefit them.
- Follow-Up Strategy: Execute a structured follow-up system—initial contact, follow-up after 2 days, and final follow-up 2 days later to close the loop.
- CRM Management: Log and manage all lead interactions in CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce).
- Market Research: Identify target niches, decision-makers, and strategic angles to approach potential clients.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports on lead generation activities, pipeline status, and sales performance to the sales manager.

Requirements
- Proven Sales Experience: Preferably in a cold calling or appointment-setting role within the web design or digital marketing industry.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and persuade potential customers.
- CRM Proficiency: Ability to track leads, calls, and conversations in tools like HubSpot, Zoho, or Salesforce.
- Confidence on the Phone: This is a must. You’re not afraid to speak to strangers and turn cold leads warm.
- Self-Motivation & Accountability: You take initiative and don’t need micromanaging.
- Basic Knowledge of Digital Services: Web design, branding, or SEO understanding is a plus.
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience with email marketing and follow-up funnels
- Background in digital marketing or agency sales
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related fields
