Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales and Business Development Executive to drive merchant acquisition, foster strategic partnerships, and expand the adoption of our payment gateway services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of digital payments, excellent sales skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in various industries.

Key Responsibilities


Sales & Merchant Acquisition:

  • Identify, engage, and onboard new merchants, businesses, and partners to use our payment gateway services.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and business growth.
  • Generate and qualify leads through networking, cold calling, and referrals.

Business Development & Strategic Partnerships:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, fintech companies, e-commerce platforms, and other key industry players.
  • Negotiate and close business deals with high-value merchants, enterprise clients, and strategic partners.
  • Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and emerging payment solutions to drive innovation.

Account Management & Customer Retention:

  • Provide excellent customer service to existing merchants, ensuring high satisfaction and retention rates.
  • Work closely with merchants to understand their payment needs and recommend tailored solutions.
  • Address and resolve customer issues promptly, collaborating with internal teams to enhance service delivery.

Market Research & Competitive Analysis:

  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to refine sales strategies.
  • Provide feedback to product and marketing teams on customer needs and potential enhancements to the payment gateway service.

Reporting & Performance Tracking:

  • Maintain accurate sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline tracking.
  • Regularly update management on sales progress, challenges, and opportunities for business growth.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or merchant acquisition, preferably in the fintech or payment industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of digital payment systems, payment gateways, and financial technology solutions.


Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships.
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
