Experience in Hospitality: 2–6 years of experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry, often in a supervisory or managerial role.
Experience as a server, bartender, or in a front-of-house position is commonly preferred, with some roles requiring specific experience in high-volume or fine-dining settings.
Supervisory Experience: At least 6 months to 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience. This includes managing front-of-house and/or back-of-house staff, scheduling, and training.
Education: HND/OND/BSC Preferred Degrees: A bachelor’s degree or college diploma in hospitality management, business management, culinary arts, or a related field is often preferred.
Apprenticeships: Candidates with apprenticeships training, such as a Level 3 Hospitality Supervisor Advanced Apprenticeship, to gain practical experience and qualifications has an edge.
