The Production Manager/Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the daily operations of skincare product manufacturing. This role ensures that production goals are met efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality and regulatory standards (e.g, GMP, ISO and NAFDAC). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cosmetic or pharmaceutical manufacturing and leadership experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Oversight: Supervise and manage daily production activities to ensure timely delivery of high-quality skincare products.
- Team Management: Lead and motivate production staff, including training, scheduling, performance management, and conflict resolution.
- Quality Control: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure products meet established standards and specifications.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards, including GMP and other industry regulations.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and lower production costs.
- Inventory & Materials: Coordinate with supply chain/logistics to manage raw material inventory and ensure timely replenishment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate production records, batch reports, and logs as required by company policy and regulatory agencies.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all production equipment is properly maintained and calibrated, reporting any issues promptly.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Liaise with R&D, marketing, and sales to align production with product development and market demand.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Management, or related field (preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience in a production management/supervisory role within skincare, cosmetics, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of GMP, ISO 22716, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in production planning tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office.
