About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced OSP Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and management of our fiber optic and civil works activities on the outside plant network. You’ll handle day-to-day operations, ensuring quick restoration of service, preventive maintenance, and smooth coordination with customers and local authorities. This is a hands-on role with significant on-site attendance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead incident management for Corporate & Retail customers, ensuring restoration within agreed SLAs (3 hours for Corporate, 12 hours for Retail).
- Provide timely feedback and updates in OTRS for customer incident resolution.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance on the fiber network.
- Audit, document, and maintain accurate as-built and as-maintained records of the outside plant network.
- Ensure weekly operational reports are submitted on time.
- Activate FOS customer requests within 3 days of signup and manage post-activation processes.
Requirements
- Education: University degree in Telecoms, Engineering, or Applied Sciences.
- Experience: At least 2 years in the telecoms industry with fiber network deployment and OSP maintenance experience.
- Proven track record in metro/long-distance fiber maintenance and civil works supervision.
- Hands-on FTTx/P2P fiber deployment experience, including splicing, OTDR testing, and core identification.
- Strong knowledge of telecom industry best practices, fiber architectures, and network documentation.
- Familiarity with ROW license processing and Health & Safety legislation in Nigeria.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Visio, AutoCAD, or GIS tools is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
