Role Description
The Operations Officer will support the daily running of the pharmacy to ensure smooth, efficient, and customer-focused operations. The role involves supervising daily activities, coordinating staff schedules, ensuring stock availability, monitoring service quality, and supporting compliance with operational procedures. An understanding of the retail pharmaceutical sector in Nigeria is an advantage.

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos (closeness to location is considered)
Work Mode: Fully Onsite; Mon - Fri (8 am - 5 pm), Saturday (8 am - 2 pm)
Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day activities to ensure smooth workflow across the pharmacy.
- Support branch staff in meeting customer service standards and operational goals.
- Monitor store opening/closing procedures, cleanliness, and safety measures.
Inventory & Supply Chain Support
- Assist in monitoring stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Coordinate with procurement for timely restocking.
- Support proper storage and handling of medicines according to regulatory guidelines.
Customer Experience & Service Quality
- Ensure customers are attended to promptly and courteously.
- Handle basic customer complaints and escalate unresolved issues to management.
Staff Coordination
- Support staff scheduling, attendance, and task allocation.
- Assist in guiding and motivating team members to achieve performance targets.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure operational activities comply with internal policies and relevant pharmacy regulations. Prepare simple daily/weekly operational reports for management review.
Requirements
- Minimum of OND / HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in retail operations or sales, (experience in pharmacy or healthcare retail is an advantage).
- Basic knowledge of store operations, inventory management, and customer service practices.
- Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel) and willingness to learn pharmacy management software. Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks.
