Job Summary
Responsible for developing, executing, and refining the marketing strategy in alignment with the overall business objectives. Conducts an in-depth market research and brand performance analysis to identify opportunities for growth, elevate brand positioning, and drive guest engagement across hotel, resort, gaming, and entertainment segments. Leads the creation of integrated marketing plans, sets measurable targets, and collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure cohesive execution across departments. Provides strategic input to senior management while maintaining oversight on brand development, campaign effectiveness, guest experience initiatives, and revenue-generating marketing activities.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develops and implements comprehensive property marketing strategies aligned with business goals and cyclical needs.
- Leads the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) function, including database segmentation, campaign management, and guest lifecycle strategies.
- Continuously evaluates the guest experience, deliver insight-driven improvements, and escalate unresolved issues.
- Plans and oversees all promotions, gaming initiatives, and major events, ensuring they are engaging, innovative, and on-brand.
- Manages the entertainment functions, including securing top-tier acts and curating unforgettable guest experiences.
- Oversees brand management and ensures consistency across all visual and verbal communications.
- Directs all advertising, media planning, and public relations efforts, utilizing both digital and traditional channels.
- Optimizes the MVG (Most Valued Guest) loyalty program, ensuring benefits, rewards, and offerings remain attractive and relevant.
- Conducts market research and trend analysis to inform strategy and decision-making.
- Cultivates strategic relationships with key media partners, suppliers, tourism associations, and other stakeholders.
- Ensures the marketing team is fully resourced, trained, and motivated; lead performance reviews and foster continuous development.
- Manages marketing operations including budgeting, reporting, invoicing, and compliance with all company and legal requirements.
- Represents the brand at major industry events, client functions, and promotional activities.
- Collaborates closely with the sales and events teams to ensure marketing efforts effectively support occupancy, event bookings, and facility utilization goals.
- Oversees the property’s digital presence (including website, SEO, SEM, and social media channels) to ensure continuous brand visibility and lead generation.
Education Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Marketing Management or a related field from a reputable institution.
Work Experience
- Minimum of ten (10) years' work experience in marketing
- At least five (5) years' experience in a leadership role
Knowledge Requirements
- Proven experience in developing and executing large-scale advertising campaigns and gaming promotions.
- Strong background in managing major entertainment events with high-profile local and/or international acts.
- Knowledge in managing advertising agency partnerships and third-party vendors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Knowledge of casino and campaign management systems such as the hotel’s CMS, single view of the Customer, and Campaign Management Systems.
- Knowledge of consumer behaviour trends in West Africa, particularly Nigeria, is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with performance marketing, lead generation metrics, and campaign ROI evaluation is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of customer engagement and interaction across business-to-consumer and business-to-business contexts, with emphasis on premium hospitality, leisure, and events sector
