We’re currently seeking Line Cook Interns who are excited to learn, contribute, and develop hands-on experience in a professional kitchen setting. This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced chefs, gain practical culinary knowledge, and be part of a team that’s shaping the future of kitchen services in Abuja.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Line Cook Intern at Nourie, you will:
- Assist with the preparation, cooking, and plating of meals, ensuring they meet our high standards for taste, quality, and presentation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation throughout shifts, adhering to strict hygiene and food safety protocols.
- Support the Chief Chef and Kitchen Coordinator in day-to-day kitchen operations, including receiving supplies, organizing ingredients, and prepping dishes.
- Learn and apply culinary best practices, from knife skills to portion control, under the supervision of senior kitchen staff.
- Work closely with your team to ensure efficient service delivery, especially during peak meal hours. Contribute positively to the kitchen environment by being dependable, collaborative, and proactive.
Requirements
- A genuine interest in culinary arts or prior experience in a kitchen (formal culinary training is an advantage but not required).
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Strong attention to detail, especially when it comes to food preparation and presentation.
- Willingness to learn, take instructions, and improve on the job.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic.
