We're seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Assistant to support our legal team. The successful candidate will assist lawyers with administrative tasks, document management, coordinating communication, and research, ensuring smooth workflow to support the department's efficiency and legal compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, edit, and finalize legal documents, such as contracts, briefs, and court filings.
- Organize and maintain files, both physical and digital.
- Conduct legal research using online databases, libraries, and other resources.
- Analyze and summarize research findings for lawyers.
- Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings.
- Handle correspondence, emails, and phone calls.
- Assist with case preparation, including gathering documents and evidence.
- Help track case progress and deadlines.
Qualifications

- BSc or HND (Humanities/Administrative Discipline)
- 1-2 years of proven experience in a similar role.
- Time management with proper commitment to work
- Proficiency with basic computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite,excel, word, etc
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- A continuous improvement mindset
