Responsibilities:

• Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction and manufacturing projects, ensuring all costs are accounted for and aligned with project requirements.
• Tendering & Procurement: Assist in the preparation of tender documents, including bills of quantities and contracts. Evaluate subcontractor quotations and assist with procurement processes.
• Cost Control & Management: Monitor project costs, track expenditures, and report on any cost variances. Provide recommendations for cost-saving measures and efficiency improvements.
• Contract Management: Review and analyze contract terms, conditions, and variations. Assist in managing contract negotiations and resolve disputes related to costs or claims.
• Risk Management: Identify potential cost risks early and develop strategies to mitigate these risks, ensuring project financials are maintained.
• Project Reporting: Provide regular updates to management on the financial status of ongoing projects. Prepare financial reports, including cost reports and forecasts.
• Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with industry standards, legal requirements, and company policies in all financial transactions and documentation.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that cost-related issues are promptly addressed and resolved.
  

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of professional experience in quantity surveying, specifically within the construction, mining, or manufacturing sectors.
• Familiarity with industry-standard cost management software and tools (e.g., MS Excel, CostX, Buildsoft).
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost estimation methods.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to construction and mining projects.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong negotiation skills with both internal and external stakeholders
