Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Iron and press garments, linens, uniforms, and other fabrics to ensure a neat, wrinkle-free, and professional finish.
- Operate ironing equipment, steamers, and pressing machines safely and efficiently.
- Handle delicate fabrics with care, applying appropriate techniques for different materials.
- Maintain the cleanliness and proper functioning of the ironing equipment and workspace.
- Work efficiently to meet deadlines and ensure the timely delivery of ironed items.
- Collaborate with laundry and housekeeping teams to support smooth operational flow.
- Inspect finished items for quality, ensuring they meet service standards before delivery. Follow safety and hygiene standards in handling fabrics and equipment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in laundry, ironing, or housekeeping roles is an advantage.
- Ability to operate ironing boards, steam irons, and pressing machines with proficiency.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality finishing.
- Good time management skills with the ability to work quickly and efficiently.
- Knowledge of handling different fabric types and applying correct ironing methods.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle repetitive tasks.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
