Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Tracking stock levels, ensuring optimal inventory levels, and managing stock rotation (e.g., FIFO, LIFO).
- Order Management: Coordinating with procurement and purchasing teams to replenish stock, ensuring timely delivery and availability.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate inventory records, reconciling physical stock counts with records, and investigating discrepancies.
- Supplier Relations: Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms, and ensuring reliable supply.
- Team Leadership: Managing and guiding inventory teams, potentially including training and performance management.
- Process Improvement: Implementing inventory control measures, optimizing warehouse layout, and improving overall inventory processes.
- Reporting: Generating reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and other relevant metrics.
- Problem Solving: Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, shortages, or surplus inventory.
