Role: Inventory Associate
Objective:
To manage and maintain accurate inventory levels, ensuring the smooth flow of stock and supplies to meet production and customer demands.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management:
- Track, receive, and record incoming stock and supplies accurately.
- Maintain updated records of all inventory using appropriate systems or software.
- Organize and label inventory for easy identification and access.
2. Stock Monitoring:
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile with system records.
- Monitor stock levels and notify management of low inventory to prevent shortages.
- Identify and report discrepancies in inventory counts and resolve issues promptly.
3. Quality Control:
- Inspect inventory for damages, defects, or inconsistencies upon arrival.
- Ensure that all stock is stored appropriately to prevent spoilage, damage, or loss.
4. Coordination with Teams:
- Work closely with production, procurement, and sales teams to align inventory with demand.
- Prepare inventory for production, ensuring all necessary materials are readily available.
5. Logistics Support:
- Assist in shipping, receiving, and distribution of inventory.
- Maintain accurate records of outgoing stock to customers or other locations.
6. Reporting:
- Generate regular inventory reports, including stock levels, usage trends, and shrinkage.
- Provide insights to management for improving inventory processes and reducing waste.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: 1–3 years of inventory management, logistics, or related roles (preferred).
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems or Microsoft Excel).
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and move heavy items when needed.
- Education:Minimum of a diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
KPIs (Key Performance Indicators):
1. Accuracy of inventory records (% variance between physical and system counts).
2. Stock replenishment cycle time.
3. Reduction in inventory shrinkage or losses.
4. On-time fulfillment of production material requests.
5. Frequency and resolution time of inventory discrepancies.
