We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Ingestion Officer to manage the accurate and efficient receipt, inspection, and processing of incoming packages. This role ensures inventory accuracy, merchant compliance, and timely updates to the inventory management system. The ideal candidate must be hands-on, quality-focused, and capable of working collaboratively across departments to support seamless warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments to verify quantities and check for damages or discrepancies
- Accurately identify and label products to ensure traceability and order accuracy
- Update the Inventory Management System (IMS) in real time to reflect product status and stock levels
- Conduct quality checks and flag issues such as defective items, wrong colors or sizes, and damaged goods
- Ensure merchant deliveries comply with company standards and product specifications
- Maintain detailed records of waybills, inspections, and inventory movements
- Collaborate with warehouse staff, customer service, and other departments to support smooth operations
- Investigate and resolve product discrepancies or damage issues at the point of ingestion
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance the accuracy and speed of ingestion processes
Requirements:
- OND or HND in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 0–1 years' experience in a warehouse, logistics, or inventory control role
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with high accuracy
- Basic proficiency in inventory software and Microsoft Office tools
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
