Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Human Resources Officer located in Ilorin. The Human Resources Officer will be responsible for
1. Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage full-cycle recruitment (job postings, CV screening, interviews, and offers).
- Conduct onboarding for new hires, including orientation and documentation (e.g., NDAs, policy acknowledgments), as well as offboarding processes.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs in line with business goals.
2. Employee Relations & Engagement
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries on HR policies, benefits, and workplace issues.
- Promote a positive work environment through engagement initiatives (team-building, recognition programs).
- Mediate conflicts and escalate complex issues to the HR Manager when necessary.
3. Performance Management
- Assist in implementing performance review processes and tracking KPIs.
- Support managers in providing constructive feedback and development plans.
- Recommend relevant training programs (e.g., compliance, customer service, financial regulations).
4. Compliance & HR Administration
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian labor laws and financial sector regulations (e.g., CBN, SEC).
- Maintain accurate employee records (physical and digital) while ensuring data privacy.
- Prepare reports for audits and regulatory submissions as required.
5. Payroll & Benefits Support
- Verify attendance, leave, and overtime records for payroll processing.
- Administer employee benefits (HMO, pensions, loans) and resolve related queries.
6. Learning & Development
- Coordinate training sessions (e.g., anti-fraud, cybersecurity, leadership). Track employee certifications and mandatory training compliance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years in HR operations or related work experience.
- Knowledge:
- Nigerian labor laws (e.g., Employee Compensation Act, Pensions Reform Act).
- Financial sector HR practices (e.g., confidentiality, fit-and-proper checks).
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with Canva is a plus.
- High integrity and discretion in handling sensitive data.
- Certification in HR is a plus
Compensation : ₦150,000 (Net)
