Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and highly organized HR Officer to support the Head of HR in delivering efficient, people-focused HR operations across the business. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in HR administration and coordination , and who is looking to deepen their experience within a structured, performance-driven environment.
Candidates with experience in fast-paced, multi-functional HR environments — such as consulting firms or structured HR departments — will thrive in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the full employee lifecycle: recruitment coordination, onboarding, documentation, offboarding
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate staff records and HR files (physical and digital)
- Track and support the implementation of performance reviews, probation evaluations, and learning plans
- Assist in developing and updating HR policies, SOPs, and internal communications
- Coordinate HR-related logistics: interviews, onboarding sessions, L&D activities, engagement events
- Monitor and report on key HR processes such as leave utilization, disciplinary procedures, and contract renewals
- Ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and internal HR standards
- Draft HR documents including memos, templates, meeting notes, and letters as directed
- Support periodic audits of HR documentation and processes
- Assist with HR reporting, dashboards, and insights generation for leadership
What You Bring
- Minimum 3 years post-NYSC experience in a structured HR role
- Experience in an HR consulting firm or HRBP function is a strong plus
- Strong knowledge of HR administration, Nigerian labour law , and people processes
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work discreetly and maintain confidentiality
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Familiarity with HR software or HRMS platforms (e.g., Zoho People, BambooHR, etc.)
