Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and strategic HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team in ILORIN. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and management, aligning HR strategies with organizational goals to drive business performance and foster a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand organizational goals and develop HR strategies that support and drive these objectives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on HR-related matters, including talent management, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.
- Partner with department heads to assess workforce needs and design effective recruitment and staffing plans.
- Conduct interviews, evaluate candidates, and provide strategic hiring recommendations to ensure talent alignment.
- Provide expert guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Manage and resolve employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actions, in a fair and consistent manner.
- Design and lead training programs on key topics such as performance management, workplace diversity, and harassment prevention.
- Analyze HR metrics to identify trends and recommend data-driven strategies for enhancing employee engagement, productivity, and retention.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations, while proactively mitigating legal and reputational risks. Contribute to broader HR initiatives and projects that enhance organizational capability and culture.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; an advanced degree or HR certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, PHRI) is highly desirable.
- Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or in a similar HR leadership role, preferably within a dynamic or high-growth environment.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and organizational behavior principles, especially within the Nigerian labor context.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, coach, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive performance and cultural alignment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS) and related HR software tools. Excellent project management skills and a keen attention to detail.
